Rugged Coast Glencoe was setup by Rob and Keren who love nothing more than sharing the experience of paddle boarding or kayaking under the mountains that they love. They have both spent time living and paddling around the world in Europe, North America and Australasia. Through Rugged Coast they aim to get more people out on the water and experiencing the magic of Glencoe.
Boat Trips
Why not try a boat trip in the area and experience something a little bit different.
Cruise Loch Linnhe – Is based out of Fort William offering cruises and rib adventures at various different times of the day.
There are also lots of boat experiences out of Oban which is approximately a 50 minute drive from Glencoe.
Kayaking
The West coast of Scotland sees more than its fair share of rain, but this means that the rivers can be a mecca for kayakers. Both the River Etive and the River Coe offer the experienced paddler a serious challenge. A little further afield, the River Orchy has sections at all grades. Why not bring your kayak and immerse yourself into the freshest river water in the UK.
For more sedate paddling, then Loch Leven gives you one of the most dramatic mountain backdrops with the Pap of Glencoe towering above Glencoe and visible for the full length of the Loch.
