Visitor Centres

There are a couple of great visitor centres in Glencoe, where you can learn a great deal above the area and what it’s like to live here.  They make a great place to visit if you experience a bit of wet weather !!!

Glencoe and North Lorn Folk Museum

Thatched in heather, the Glencoe museum in the middle of the village is an ideal place to while away a couple of hours.  You will gain an insight into the traditional life and work in the Highlands in years gone by.

The National Trust Visitor Center

The Glencoe National Trust Visitor Center has interactive displays and activities exploring the landscape, wildlife and history of this special place. Discover how the glen was formed, and understand the conservation issues faced by The National Trust.   There is a shop stocking local products and a lovely café.
