Skiing & Snowboarding

If skiing or snowboarding are what gets your adrenaline flowing, then Glencoe has access to two of the best resorts in the whole of Scotland.

Glencoe Mountain is perched high up on the rocky slopes of Meall a Bhuiridh and overlooks the vast and desolate expanse of Rannoch Moor.  As a ski resort, it boasts the most fantastic of panoramas of any of the Scottish resorts.  It is the oldest ski area in the UK and the first ski tow was installed in 1955.

In winter, Glencoe Mountain offers skiing, snowboarding, sledging and avalanche rescue training.  Ski and Snowboard across 20 runs and 8 lifts – catering for skiers and boarders of all levels. Complete beginners can enjoy the gentle plateau runs while experts can experience the incredible variety of terrain, including the longest and steepest runs in Scotland.

Once you’ve mastered the slopes there, then there’s always the Nevis Range just up the road near Fort William, where you can ski or board right next to the mighty Ben Nevis.
