Beaches

The coastline on the west coast of Scotland is truly dramatic and dotted with beaches, inlets, sea lochs, cliffs, islands and mountains rising straight out of the water.  There is so much to explore on the coast, but here’s a few beaches you may like to visit in the area

Cuil Bay

The nearest beach to us is Cuil Bay near Duror, about a 20 minute drive on the road to Oban.

Arisaig and Morar

There are several fantastic beaches between Arisiag and Morar. The coastal tourist route passes numerous beaches a highlight being at Camusdarach which has beautiful white sands and with the panoramic view of the jagged Cuillins on the Isle of Skye on the horizon.  Take a picnic and enjoy a great day, it really is a special place.

Silver sands of Morar

Not strictly an ocean beach but an unusual riverside beach.  Check it out, it makes an excellent spot for a wander.

Sanna Bay

At the tip of the Ardnamurchan peninsula is the most westerly point on mainland UK.  You may have been to Lands End, you may have been to John O’groats, whilst you’re here in Scotland why not go to the most westerly point and see this stunning area, a 40 minute drive down single track roads.
